I first got to know David’s work through his online teaching and then through being involved in his Online Sketching Retreats.
I’m delighted he agreed to take part in my Spotlight on an Artist series - and his answers are just as entertaining as you might expect.
1. Favourite subject to sketch?
Architecture, of course :)
2. Early bird or night owl?
Late bird, early owl
3. Colour you can’t do without?
orange-ish
4. Can you sing?
Not very well, but I do anyway (mostly when playing Wonderwall on my guitar)
5. One art supply you hoard?
fineliners, fineliners everywhere
6. Favourite item of clothing?
a smile
7. One item in your kit you couldn’t do without?
Let me flip it - two things that are forbidden in my process - ruler and eraser.
8. Silliest art supply you’ve ever bought?
Aquabrushes - bought them more than a year ago, still haven't opened them.
9. Funniest comment from a passer-by?
“You forgot that window.”

10. Favourite motto, quote or saying?
